Simple design that went together easily. It’s heavy but you still need two hands on it to tear paper towels.Very cute!!! Sturdy enough. Thick enough. Good enough.First one arrived dented, quick easy return. 2nd one also arrived damaged. Damage is hidden by the paper towel roll.Towel rod arrived dented (as mentioned in other reviews ), but the dent is hidden by the towel roll so I don’t mind. It came really well packaged, so it’s bizarre that it arrived damaged in the first place. Material on the base is a little cheap but you never see it. Easy to put together. Still good for the money.i finally decided to replace the paper towel holders I’ve had since the Iron Age. I wanted something that looked modern but simple. I read the reviews about this having a solid base and they were right. I’ll be ordering another set since I need to replace the other two I’ve had since the invention of the wheel.This is a very nice paper towel holder. It was delivered very quickly. It was easy to assemble: it just required turning the screw into the bottom of the base, then advancing the screw into the base of the pole. Then an adhesive rubber cover is applied over the screw on the base to protect the surface from scratches.It has a nice stainless steel finish. It is well designed. It has good traction against the counter of our kitchen. The sheets tear off easily, one at a time without having to hold it steady.Unfortunately, the product came in a thin cardboard box in a manilla envelope. The shipping may have been the issue. The pole was unprotected against the side of the thin cardboard box. As a result, the pole was dented when it arrived. . We returned it because we didn't want a dented towel holder in our kitchen.A little difficult to get the threads on the connector started, once started it went together easily enough. Weight is good. So far its working well.Easy to put together and looks good in the kitchen. Pretty sturdy for the price !!easy to fix. Good product
