These are pretty, but not very absorbent. They work for what if wanted, which was taking up less space and not holding bad smells. So far so good.This is a great towel for the beach or pool. I use it as a towel, or as a sarong. I got two of them in the black and white stripe, which is a great look to go with any color bathing suit. It is vey absorbent but thin enough to easily roll up and throw into your pool or beach bag. I could put 4 into my bag, and not feel like it is too much to carry. The only reason I took off one star is that the print is much darker on one side, and the reverse is very faded. It would have a nicer look if it was the same on each side. Definitely recommend!I bought this because I needed a pre-washed towel (I can't use stuff with chemicals straight out of the package). It's very beautiful and multipurpose (scarf, cover-up, curtain, table cloth, and yes, towel). It's not terry cloth, obviously, it's a thin, Turkish style "towel"---i.e. absorbent cloth. And in the event you are allergic to stuff, it will probably not bother you at all. I love it and will buy more.I have already been using this towel in multiple ways, indoors and outdoors. It's a shawl, a towel, a tablecloth, a cover for a chaise longue, a packing cloth, a cat sleeping mat...Great size and very attractive. I took off a star because it is so loosely woven that it snags pretty easily, meaning I will have to handle it more gently than I would like. But I'm very happy with it and expect to use it to death.The color was so vibrant! Washed up super soft. The fringe frays up a bit in the wash. Otherwise, I love the towel.
